I believe that everything starts by paying attention. Life is imperfect and any magical light we can bring into our day is worthy of our gratitude. Laughter and love, joy and celebrations slip into our lives with ease but learning to cope with the deep pain life brings to us is also necessary. I do this best with my camera, chasing down light, zooming in and out and pairing it all with truth.

I live in Western Washington with my husband of 40+ years, in the home where we raised our three sons. We share that home now with our sweet beagle named Basil.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

“It's like one of those scenes from a feel-good Hollywood movie. Where everybody is happy and nobody's hair fizzes in the wind. Where it doesn't rain, your shoes stay comfortable all day, and everybody's jokes are funny.” ~ Randa Abdel-Fattah, Does My Head Look Big in This?

First off thank you so much for the thoughtful comments about my post yesterday.
I even had a few personal emails....
All is good, really better than good, amazing.
I was just in one of those pre-holiday moods.
I spent the morning looking for a canceled check because our heat pump went out,
and we are sure it is under warranty...
I found the paper work, but not the check.
It is a long story; and a bit frustrating; and one of life's organization lessons.

Jordan comes home tomorrow for almost a month.
He will be back and forth between home and Bellingham while he is here.
There will be a birthday celebration (Justin's) and Christmas and he will be with us.
All of us under one roof for a few days. So really, things are good.

In a bit he and I are going shopping, much of it has been done online,
but there are still odds and ends to be bought.
We are in denial however, he is still in bed and I am posting on the blog.

Thanks again for your concern,
isn't life grand....
