knee deep in weeds

notes on a simple life

“A dead hydrangea is as intricate and lovely as one in bloom. Bleak sky is as seductive as sunshine, miniature orange trees without blossom or fruit are not defective; they are that.”

~ Toni Morrison, Tar Baby

A happened upon dried up hydrangea leaf in the birdbath, made for some fun one afternoon. It made me wonder how many times in life I walk right by such beauty; grateful that on this day I noticed.

i hope you take time to notice the little things today.
have a wonderful weekend,
