I believe that everything starts by paying attention. Life is imperfect and any magical light we can bring into our day is worthy of our gratitude. Laughter and love, joy and celebrations slip into our lives with ease but learning to cope with the deep pain life brings to us is also necessary. I do this best with my camera, chasing down light, zooming in and out and pairing it all with truth.

I live in Western Washington with my husband of 40+ years, in the home where we raised our three sons. We share that home now with our sweet beagle named Basil.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

saying yes

saying yes

Unexpected events can set you back or set you up. It's all a matter of - perspective.
- Mary Anne Radmacher

the moments of the week slip through me, somewhat unnoticed
i fret and agonize over lost hours, lost trust, lost light
i find callous negative space inside of me
as i am drawn to heartache and tears
over laughter and joy

Be guided by the stars which you place well on the canopy of your night sky.
~ Mary Anne Radmacher

i pace around with that lump in my throat, right there
making it hard to swallow life, or love or joy
i seek morning light, or bide my time waiting for that evening glow,
and watch as the light dips and drenches the rainbow colors of my flowers
i snuggle with the dog, i pick raspberries and water the garden
i perform at life. . .

It takes courage to reinvent joys, to reinvent opportunities, to reinvent dreams, to reinvent connections, to reinvent hopes that you have set aside.
~ Mary Anne Radmacher

but i feel courage dribbling in beside me and i am determined to dam it up,
determined to find a way to use that energy resource to flow in a more alive direction,
putting in place a gentle outflow of healing and love for myself

One whispered yes becomes the wind song over an ocean of no's.
~ Mary Anne Radmacher
