resetting, exfoliating, self-reflection
he spent the day finishing the carport door
somehow it made me sad to take out the old door,
the huge window, where i peeked out to make sure the kids were okay,
out playing in the carport or the driveway,
making room for us now, it is our time
and i need to stand on my tip-toes to see out.
the rain was non-stop, the hard rain, which wilts the roses
but makes everything so green.
the dog and i stole a few moments between showers to
work in the flowerbeds. . .
