I believe that everything starts by paying attention. Life is imperfect and any magical light we can bring into our day is worthy of our gratitude. Laughter and love, joy and celebrations slip into our lives with ease but learning to cope with the deep pain life brings to us is also necessary. I do this best with my camera, chasing down light, zooming in and out and pairing it all with truth.

I live in Western Washington with my husband of 40+ years, in the home where we raised our three sons. We share that home now with our sweet beagle named Basil.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

tuesday || week 26

day 180
re-entry is a bit hard and i leave the laundry sitting
all day because the garden's call is stronger.
the cycle of the flowers, the anticipation of what will bloom next,
makes me feel like a child at Christmas. i dead head the roses
and see tiny buds, there will be a second flush in a few weeks.
the clematis blooms are covering the shed and the blooms
on the blue hydrangea are so big, some of them
are on the ground. the dog has slept most of the day,
i think all that beach running wore him out.
it is good to be home and good to fill my heart with all those great memories.
