I believe that everything starts by paying attention. Life is imperfect and any magical light we can bring into our day is worthy of our gratitude. Laughter and love, joy and celebrations slip into our lives with ease but learning to cope with the deep pain life brings to us is also necessary. I do this best with my camera, chasing down light, zooming in and out and pairing it all with truth.

I live in Western Washington with my husband of 40+ years, in the home where we raised our three sons. We share that home now with our sweet beagle named Basil.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

thursday || week 50

day 350
the snow is crunchy and full of ice, but it felt good to get outside.
we spotted evidence of the raccoon and i told the dog to be careful;
although his bark is pretty dang convincing, to all within hearing distance,
that they best get out of his space.
at least it is not a bear, we have had a few in the carport, over the years.

gratitudes ~
crunchy snow, all of us singing to Neil Diamond in rowing class, the smell of peppermint tea, our holly trees, understanding and calmness, heated car seats, cilantro and tacos, faith in myself and thumping dog tails.
