There is something about baking bread with wild yeast that fills my soul. The process is not hard, just slow, taking almost three days. This by far is my favorite loaf yet. Made with local grains and my father's starter. After it came out of the oven I headed off to get a pedicure (it has been all winter!) and then we took the dog for a long walk. Steak for dinner with a gin and tonic, fresh asparagus and salad. Life is good. I am so blessed.
