wednesday || week 51

December 21, 2016 cathy sly

day 356 || winter solstice
i made a short list today :: what feels good and what does not
it surprises me that the things that make me feel full of life are often things
i fight. . .  exercise, eating well, speaking my truth
what is the lure behind laziness and indifference?
why is it so hard to shake?

the weather was beautiful, cold and crisp.
the dog and i went out
in search of wildlife and light.

"There is a privacy about it which no other season gives you. In spring, summer and fall people sort of have an open season on each other; only in the winter, in the country, can you have longer, quiet stretches when you can savor belonging to yourself."
― Ruth Stout
