i see the hip doctor today, two years out and all is well.
i am flabbergasted, as always, to see the big chunk of titanium
on the X-ray, along with the screw that lives inside my bone.
i marvel at modern medicine and tell her once again
how grateful i am. i am pleasantly surprised when she tells me
that she will see me again in five years. . . wow!
early afternoon, the sun flaunts her stuff for a brief moment, and i take
my camera and the dog and head outside for a bit,
feeling blessed that i walk now with no pain.
