We wake to two inches of snow. It is heavy and wet and the branches of all the trees are droopy. The dog and I bundle up and walk to the ponds and I take photos of the birds. By mid-afternoon it has all melted and there is even blue sky. I watch the news and see all the kids marching across the US and my heart is heavy with sadness, wondering how we got to this place. I hope their voices will be heard. They are strong and smart and scared.
We go to dinner with Justin and Kristy and eat way too much, and I come home full. And my mama heart is happy to have spent some time with my boy.
