i read from the book sporadically throughout the day,
filling it with sticky notes and turned down pages.
a couple of days ago i convince myself to stop reading,
it is too much, and there will be little chance of coming
out the other side unscathed.
but the pull is mighty, so i take it slowly, digesting parts in tiny,
manageable, bite size pieces. . .
while the dog sits in my lap, offering up his warmth,
and his unconditional love.
