“Essentially what photography is is life lit up.”
- Sam Abell

There is an old weather table that sits on our deck right outside the back door. It is a catch all for things that I need to maybe put back in the shed or find a place for. I might use it to cool down a big pot of soup, before putting it into the fridge, or place a couple of celebratory bottles of champagne on it to chill.  In the summer it holds a potted red geranium. Over the past few years I have found myself using it for simple still life photos; a tiny vase of flowers, a fresh loaf of bread or my coffee cup.
