I wake with him on my mind, wondering if he is okay? I try to bury myself in a book, but keep having to reread passages. We do a quick trip to Costco, opening the watermelon popsicles, and eat one on the way home.

The weather is perfect; the sun is out and I swear I can sit back and actually see the veggies growing. The lake glitters in the distance, while the flowers bloom in every corner of the yard. It is indeed the start, of a beautiful day.
